We will miss our dear friend and colleague Mrs. Ritah Nansereko. May her soul rest in peace. She was a Human Rights Advocate who served as Executive Director of a local humanitarian organization- African Women and Youth Action for Development- AWYAD and was a member of Alliance for Empowering Partnership. She was a strong, articulate, passionate and vocal advocate of localisation and Charter4Change in Uganda and globally. She was a great mentor to her peers. Ritah devoted her life to safety and protection needs of refugee women and Children, as well as victims of massive land evictions. We will miss her fighting spirit and passion for promoting localisation and speaking out against inequity and injustice in the aid sector and promoting equitable partnerships. Recently, she was selected to represent the local actors in the IASC Result Group 3 on collective advocacy.  The local actors have lost a powerful voice and a champion of the localisation agenda. We send our heartfelt condolences to her husband, children, family, friends and colleagues. We send them emotional strength at this difficult time. She will be deeply missed.
